WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY?

The entire wedding will be held at our beautiful venue, Montrose House.

Please arrive at three o-clock, as the ceremony will start promptly at three-thirty in the Ceremony Area of the Heritage Garden (2). After the ceremony, drinks will be provided in the Greenhouse Bar (5) while we hold group photographs. At six o-clock the reception will start at Badgery Hall (6), where we will have a plated dinner service, speeches, and dancing! The evening will wrap up at 11pm.

 

WHAT IF IT'S RAINING?

In the event of rain, the ceremony and post-ceremony drinks will be held in the Carriage Barn (7).

 

WHAT DOES 'GARDEN FORMAL WEAR'  MEAN?

The 'formal' part is fairly standard: ankle or floor length dresses, suits with a jacket and tie, or anything similarly elegant.

For guests who would like to dress to the theme of 'garden', we'd love your look to reflect the beautiful scenery of Montrose House. Our wedding is a time for celebration, so feel free to show off! Vibrant colours and foliage or floral patterns are encouraged. No matter what you decide, we're just excited that you'll be there, and we want you to look and feel great in whatever way is best for you.

 

WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE US A GIFT?

That is so very kind of you, and we love you very much! We would deeply appreciate any cash gifts that you may like to bring. Gifts can be handed to a member of staff upon arrival, or left in the Wishing Well during the reception. Even so, please know that your company is gift enough!

 

CHILDREN

We're very sorry, but we are unable to accommodate children at the venue. Please only bring guests who are named on your invitation.

 

TRAVEL TIPS

Please arrange travel to and from the venue ahead of time, as there is very limited internet signal.

We have been told that there is only one Uber driver in the area, and he may not be working!

Guest parking is available on site (4).

Guests are welcome to leave their cars in the venue's parking area overnight, but must collect them before ten-thirty on Sunday morning as the gates will be locked. The venue kindly requests that guests don’t bring campervans, caravans or motorhomes, or sleep in vehicles on the property, verges or in the rest area.
